In the heart of Benson, North Carolina, Mule City Specialty Feeds was born out of a simple idea: farmers and their animals deserve better nutrition.
That idea took shape in 1956 when Robie Dunn founded the business, then called Wayne Station, with a mobile mill, a commitment to quality, and a strong belief in helping livestock thrive through better feed.
Over the years, what started as a modest milling operation grew into a trusted name across North Carolina and the Southeast.
Robie’s son, Paul Dunn, joined the business with a deep passion for agriculture and a degree in Animal Science from NC State University.
Paul brought scientific insight and hands-on experience to the feed formulas, helping to modernize operations while staying true to the family’s values of integrity and service.
