Who are Mule City Specialty Feeds?

History
The theory behind Mule City Specialty Feeds was founded under the name of Wayne Station.  It started in 1956 when Robie Dunn developed the idea that by adding vitamins and minerals to the grains farmers were currently feeding their livestock, he could increase the performance and production of the animals.  The business started out as a mobile milling operation that would bring the supplements to the farm and grind the feed on site.  The mill became known as Mule City Specialty Feeds in 1991, and the desire to help customers' animals reach their maximum potential continues today.  For over 65 years, Mule City Specialty Feeds, Inc. has been partnering with local farmers to meet the specific needs of customers. What started as a small mobile milling operation that served farmers in the immediate vicinity has blossomed into one of Benson's most successful agriculture businesses with customers all over North Carolina.  There are even a few in Virginia and South Carolina.

Locally Owned
Mule City Specialty Feeds is a local family business.  When the founder, Robie Dunn took the step down from the helm, his son Paul was ready to step up to the task.  Since 1995 Mule City Feeds has been owned and operated by Paul Dunn, a Benson native and graduate of North Carolina State University (B.S. Animal Science).  Paul attends various conferences and continuing education classes throughout the year.  With this in mind, not only does Mule City Feed create custom and select animal feeds at economical prices, but the feed formulas are backed by science and experience.

Not just your average feed store.
One of the most unique features of Mule City Feed is the ability to cater to the specific needs of the customer and the animals.  Walk in the front door and you'll soon be talking one-on-one with a representative who will be able to listen to your needs and make recommendations based on those specifications and budget.  If need be, you can schedule an appointment to further discuss options with Paul Dunn (owner).  Bottom line is that we desire to best serve our customers' needs: not a typical feed store experience!

We know that your time is precious. For your convenience, Mule City Feed offers delivery service. Get your feed, bagged or bulk- delivered straight to you so you can spend less time driving and more time with your animals.
